Street Photos from Bruges, January 2015

These are few shots taken during a family trip to Bruges at the beginning of the year.   Here, the bicycle is an extremely popular mode of transport which, whilst that makes sense in the narrow alleys and laneways, must be rather uncomfortable over those ubiquitous cobblestones. It rained which perhaps added to the allure of this truly memorable Medieval town as the cobblestones underfoot glistened wet, making for some special photographic moments.  However, it rained so heavily during the day it made photography difficult so I had to take most of my shots at night.  I was left with a rather moody and atmospheric set of photos. I thought I would post these few shots in order to explain what it is I look for in my street shots.
